They write: Currently our team is mostly made up of Middle School Students (most from Conval, some homeschoolers, and one boy from Massachusetts). We are working on expanding our team, both vertically (with middle through high school student) and horizontally (hoping for a good number of students at each level). We are hoping to have our team split into two levels, a Middle School Team focused on VEX and SEAPERCH, and a High School Team that will enter the FRC Competition next year. We have a strong team of mentors already, a good part of the funds needed to get ourselves into FRC, and have almost secured a pair of Build Sites (in the Peterborough area) that we feel will serve our team well. What we need now are students.

The Home School Gym Club is about to start up it's fourth year, and the kids are really looking forward to it again! We do have room for more this year, so I have started signing up new members. We had over 50 kids signed up last year, of all ages, who had a great time running around together. We have a group of teens that have been coming for years, who love playing capture the flag, tag, or many other games that they come up with, and on the other end we have little ones who still need their mom's on the gym floor with them. Ages span from 4 to 16! All ages play fantastically with, or along side each other, because home school kids are awesome.
It is a home school (only) club that meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month, from 1:45-2:45, at a wonderful gymnastics center, in Bow. It is a fantastic facility, with wonderful equipment, a wonderful space, great tramps and all the other gymnastic equipment, a zip line, climbing wall, foam pits, and tons of space that is completely padded.
It is strictly free play, and the kids do their own thing, or gather a group and play a game of tag or capture the flag or whatever they like! Recess for home schoolers basically. A staff member or two are on the gym floor to supervise and help the kids with any gymnastic skills they would like to work on, but mostly the kids run around on the equipment and have a great time on their own. There are also giant inflatables that are set up on occasion that the kids just adore. All ages are welcome, and all ages attend.
It's a great place for the kids to run off energy, and get some exercise and socialization with other home schoolers. There are observation rooms for the parents to hang out in and watch, while they visit or catch up on laptops, corrections, knitting, etc..
The fee is $7 per child, per week, payable at the door, whenever you can make it, but everyone must sign up with me (at email@example.com) before attending. We have organized it as a club so that we have control over how the gym runs it, and we have our own rules and expectiations of the kids (repectful, polite, kind, etc.). We need to have a certain enrollment for the program to run, so please sign up soon if you are interested. We start our new year the first week of September!
If you would like to join, or want more information, please email me DIRECTLY at firstname.lastname@example.org.

With attendees drawn from throughout the Northeast, many campers make enduring friendships that continue and deepen outside of the sessions. Cabin style accommodations include adult volunteers (often Hulbert grads) and daily "Exploroptionals" are offered by campers and staff. Overnight canoe trips have been added as a summer program.
Kabeyun, a summer camp for boys on Lake Winnipesaukee, has tuition assistance available for families interested in the Kabeyun experience for their sons, but who demonstrate financial need for tuition cost. We host about 100 boys ages 7 - 15 with a staff to camper ratio of 1:3. Our program emphasizes the non-competitive, individual challenge sports and activities with strong creative arts and adventure trip program. All activities, including adventure trips, are available to all boys, regardless of age. We do a lot on the water: swimming, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, fishing, canoeing, kayaking. On land we offer a range of creative arts and traditional camp activities: pottery, leather, wood shop, drama, music and photography; ropes course, tennis, badminton, archery, nature study, balanced with tripping opportunities: hiking, rock climbing, white water kayaking and canoeing. Since 1924; private non-profit. Contact Chuck Mills at 746 3485 or firstname.lastname@example.org and visit our website at www.kabeyun.org.
Retreat Center and Family Camp
Medomak Retreat Center and Family Camp provides an ideal setting for families and/or organizations to meet and focus on the environment, the building of community, education, arts, science?and have fun. We would look to work with you to develop a week long outdoor educational program that will include water studies, environmental education, history, writing workshops, art, and skill development in outdoor activities such as archery, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and sailing and more.
Medomak is located in Midcoast Maine, halfway between Augusta and Camden, along Route 220 in the small town of Washington. The Camp and Retreat Center sit just above Washington Lake, discretely tucked amidst cool pine forest and warm blueberry fields. The Retreat Center?s turn of the century lodge and barn are perfect places for conducting seminars and workshops in the summer time. At the Retreat Center we have 20 cabins (both private and dorm style) which sleep up to 70 guests per night. The Family Camp can accommodate 12 families each week in dorm style cabins. Additionally, at Camp we have meeting space in our barn and farmhouse. Forget typical camp food: at both sites chefs prepare and serve three healthy family-style meals daily.
We would be happy to mail you or your homeschool group brochures which will give you a better idea of our site. More information can also be found on our website, www.medomakcamp.com.
