You Do Not Need to Send in a Scope and Sequence!

Now that the governor has signed SB337 into law, there is still no requirement to include a scope and sequence of subjects taught in your letter of notification.  The major changes which will result from the law are: parents homeschooling must notify by the first day of school in their district, parents withdrawing a child from public school must send a letter of notification within 5 days, two members of the House of Representatives and one Senator will be added to the Home Education Advisory Council (HEAC), and a commission will be established to study the home education statutes.  More...
